Chef Pedro and Chef Derek share a similar history for their passion for quality food. When Chef Pedro was growing up in Oaxaca, Mexico his love for food grew tasting all the flavors of authentic Oaxaca cuisine. One could say it had him fixated on becoming a chef.
When he moved to the United States he took every opportunity he encountered to learn from classically (French) trained chefs to pursue his dreams and fulfill his passion to become a chef. As his skills developed he applied them wherever he could and dedicated his life to mastering his craft. We are thankful for his dedication and experience he brings to the Flavor Chef Catering team.
