Chef Maddie grew up in Canton, New York, watching “Iron Chef” and competing for her own championship with family members. Her favorite past time was discovering hole in the wall restaurants wherever she traveled.
Growing up and having to answer, The big question, “what career are you going for?” Nothing felt quite right except for being in the kitchen and creating her art.
On a trip to France at 16, she was influenced by wines (or under the influence of), artisan cheeses, and classical French Cuisine. Since then she has dabbled in hospitality, serving at a BBQ restaurant, being a prep cook, and working in the hotel industry. Chef Maddie was so motivated by that experience she applied and was accepted into the Early Enrollment for the culinary program at Johnson and Whales East Coast.
After graduating a year early from high school and completing the Johnson and Whales program, Chef Maddie learned through experience that “really kicked my butt” and taught her about hard work.
In 2016, she accepted an internship in California on a whim and traveled to The West Coast and decided she is here to stay!
We are fortunate to have her experience and work ethic to help us here at Flavor Chef Catering to offer the best service possible.
